NCC provides extensive programs and services to Yonkers and the Lower Hudson Valley region in New York, South New Jersey and abroad.  We address many social ills and work tirelessly to empower our children and families to live their best lives in a safe and healthy manner.

The Yonkers Basics campaign aims to shrink the "achievement gap" starting with the very young. Yonkers Basics is inspired by the fact that 80% of brain development happens in the first three years of life.

The Healthy Marriage And Relationship Education Program (HMREP) program will develop and support economic self-sufficiency, healthy marriages, relationships and parenting skills for up to 500 young adults and at-risk youths ages 16-24; individuals; couples; caregivers and parents across six cities in the lower Hudson Valley region of New York.  Click here for more information.

GATEWAY TO THE FUTURE ACADEMIES

This 21st Century Community Learning Center After-School Program operates at Roosevelt High School, Riverside High School, Palisade Prep High School and Gorton High School;  Mondays through Fridays from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Students participate in homework help, project based learning, recreation, and activities with a strong focused on STEM.

GATEWAY BULLY PREVENTION PROGRAM

NCC’s Bully Prevention Program was launched in January 2015 and teaches youth, ages 8-15 about the dangers of bullying and the long-lasting negative impact it leaves upon victims.  The program operates Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. For more information, please contact:

COMPREHENSIVE ADOLESCENCE PREGNANCY PREVENTION PROGRAM (CAPP)

CAPP was launched in 2010 and serves children ages 9 – 15 years old.  This program focuses on risky behaviors that challenge this age group and provides alternatives.  The program operates Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. For more information, please contact:

STREETWORK PROJECT

This program operates Monday through Saturday. The program serves youths of all ages, and a Weekend Learning Center Saturdays 9am to 4pm (Educational/tutorial assistance, cultural awareness activities and social interactive skills).   The After-School component operates Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 6:00pm, and provides homework assistance, remedial instruction, and social interactive skill development.  The Summer Camp operatives Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm July & August.

GATEWAY SUMMER CAMP ACHIEVERS

NCC’s Summer Camp is housed at Nepperhan Center Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm during July and August.   Campers work with teachers on academic enrichment activities, reading/literacy, STEM activities, health/nutrition activities, arts and crafts, and daily field trips.  For more information, please contact:

NCC GATEWAY COMMUNITY CHORUS

The Gateway Community Chorus was started in the Summer of 2015 as part of Dr. Bostic’s overall vision to have a community showcase choir for the agency.  The community chorus members range in age from 9 to 17 years old.  Rehearsals are every Monday and Wednesday, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at NCC. RUSHIN DO KARATE SCHOOL

NEPPA GALLERY SUMMER BASKETBALL PROGRAM

Days of operation: Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer months; and Mondays and Wednesdays from December through March.   Participants are 17-26 years old. This program provides a tough recreational basketball league as the hook, for intensive, job readiness training, career counseling, educational assistance, and job searching technique workshops.
